Angel Babie Penn is the cover writer for Urban Onyx Magazine. "Babie" is not only what Angel was called growing up, but it also signifies her going back to her roots, her rightful place; turning her back on the angry woman she had become due the hurts and disappointments in life, her first love, God.
Angel says, "as a child I didn't understand prayer, so I wrote letters to God". Knowing that it is because God heard every word written, she is still here today; alive and filled with unspeakable joy, love and peace. Because writing saved her life, Angel continues to tell the stories of others who have overcome, survived and are victorious over everything that tried to break and kill them. Angel writes with purpose, on purpose with her God given gift setting the captive free. And we are all indeed free.
