This month's Faith Fitz First Friday business spotlight is especially dear to my heart. Nothing makes a mother prouder than seeing her child grow through the stages of life and being able to watch them spread their wings and fly. I’ve had the pleasure of watching Aaliyah Renaa from infancy to young woman. Dancer, singer, songwriter, model, makeup artist; Aaliyah is Art!
Ever since Aaliyah Renaa was a little girl she has been into hair, fashion, heels, makeup; you name it! But like most humans going through the stages of life, Aaliyah did not always see the power, strength and true beauty that lied within her. Growing up Aaliyah did not always have the best confidence, but when she found the art of making herself look beautiful, she found that she started to also FEEL beautiful.
After years of diving into self-care videos on YouTube and teaching herself how to care for her natural hair, daily skin care routines and learning the different techniques of applying makeup; Aaliyah Renaa decided into tap more into her artistry full on by becoming a makeup artist.
Aaliyah has a true passion for helping other Queens see the beauty that lies within themselves by showing authentically that love starts with you! Aside from making a career for herself as a makeup artist, Aaliyah embraces every curve on her journey of becoming a plus-size model and social influencer through her media platforms. She shares her life living it to the fullest capturing the highest of highs and showing that you can slow things down equally by advocating for positive mental health promoting self-care days on her YouTube channel.
Aaliyah Renaa has taken what once challenged her as a pre-teen as a platform to empower other women to boldly and confidently walk comfortably in the skin they're in. She absolutely loves doing makeup and it is her goal for every client that sits in her chair to leave knowing that true beauty is about making yourself happy!
